July 10, 2007 Selectmen's Meeting Minutes
Present: Palmer Koelb, Randy Morrison, and Janet Woolner
Also Present: Acting Chief Kevin Kay, Chip Stata, Allan Crossman, Eugene Garrett, and Francis Muzzey
Randy moved to open the meeting a 6:00 pm. This was seconded by Palmer and approved.
Selectmen requested letters be sent to Rumney and Dorchester regarding perambulation status (Rumney needs to be done this year and Dorchester lines still need to be painted)
Selectmen signed abatement letters and made adjustments on property valuations for the following: Philbrick M/L 12-03-04 Noseworthy M/L 11-04-17 Sauer M/L 11-04-19
Randy moved to approve the minutes and non-public minutes for June 26, 2007. This was seconded by Palmer and approved. Selectmen signed the Emergency Management form acknowledging payment of $4,732.71 for the Disaster that was declared on April 27, 2007 and FEMA Form 81-29 for the Flood Insurance Program; and the MS-5 Form received from the auditors. . Kevin Kay discussed community service projects with the Selectmen and it was agreed to schedule window cleaning and digging holes for posts on the common.
There was discussion about the items being received at the Transfer Station. To handle the TV’s, monitors, etc we need to accumulate enough material (need 6 gay lords) for pick up and will cost $200 for hauling and $.15/ton for electronics, etc to be picked up by an independent contractor. Selectmen authorized the purchase of aluminum signs and will display them at the Transfer Station to aid with the TV’s, computers and monitors. Al Crossman will check into the cost of a container or truck body to store the items that must be kept dry.
Francis informed the Selectmen that the Conservation representative did visit the site (Sutcliffe property M/L 07-04-01) and said that a cabin is being built and believe it is not of concern at this time. Selectmen agreed to join the Grafton Cty Municipal Association for the purpose of monitoring Grafton County Commissioners budget.
Selectmen authorized Camp Pemi to use the Wentworth School, Town Offices, and the Town Hall for over flow parking for their 100 year Celebration.
Palmer moved to go into non-public session at 7:45 pm per RSA 91-A: 3, II (c) to discuss matters which if discussed in public would likely affect adversely the reputation of a person. This was seconded by Randy and approved. Randy moved to come out of non-public session at 8:05 pm. This was seconded by Palmer and approved. Selectmen requested an interior inspection of a town property.
Palmer moved to go into non-public session again at 8:05 pm per RSA 91-A: 3, II (c) to discuss matters which if discussed in public would likely affect adversely the reputation of a person. This was seconded by Randy and approved. Randy moved to come out of non-public session at 9:00 pm. This was seconded by Palmer and approved. Police policies & personnel were discussed.
Palmer moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:03 pm. This was seconded by Randy and approved.
