August 28, 2007 Selectmen's Meeting Minutes

Present: Palmer Koelb, Randy Morrison, John Millican, and Janet Woolner

Also Present: Acting Police Chief Kevin Kay, Gini Gove, Randy Comsteller, Chip Stata, Kate Rick and Ellie Murray

 

Palmer moved to open the meeting at 6:02 pm. This was seconded by John and approved.

Selectmen talked about the Wentworth School Board’s non-response to the correspondence sent by the Selectmen and Selectmen agreed to attend the next Wentworth School Board Meeting.

Acting Police Chief Kevin Kay updated Selectmen on Saturday storm events. He suggested cell phone coverage is needed for this area. He also said the revised policies are ready for review.

Gini Gove inquired about the gate being closed at Hamilton Field and Riverside Park.

Kate Rick discussed the upcoming Grafton County Municipal Association Meeting. She will represent the Town of Wentworth and will question the planning for a new jail. She will attend tomorrow’s meeting and advise the Selectmen.

Selectmen signed Intent to Cut for Taylor (Thurston), M/L 08-01-02.

Palmer moved to approve the minutes and non-public minutes for August 21, 2007. This was seconded by Randy and approved.

John moved to change the Selectmen’s meetings and meet every two weeks instead of each week. This was seconded by Randy and approved by Palmer.

Palmer advised he will request the highway department repair the post on Ephraim Page Road.

John moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 pm. This was seconded by Palmer and approved.
