Chief Kay Resigns
Chief Kevin Kay, of our Police Department, will be resigning effective July 1, 2015. Please join the Selectboard on Tuesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. (Selectmen’s meeting room) to thank Kevin for his work, dedication, and service to the Town of Wentworth as we say good bye to him.

The next book for the book group is State of Wonder by Ann Patchett. Copies are available at the library. The discussion date is July 13th at 6 p.m.
It’s also time to announce registration for the Summer Reading Program for grades K to 3—this year’s theme is “Every Hero Has a Story”. It will be held on the following Wednesday mornings in July, at 10 am: July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. Registration deadline is June 24th.

Project 250 Logo Contest
Project 250 is hosting a logo contest for the Town of Wentworth anniversary celebration. Got an idea? The favorite will be chosen at the 250th booth by popular vote on Market Day 2015 and will be featured on posters, our website, Facebook, and marketing material for the celebration throughout 2016! Submissions are due July 31, 2015.
Submit electronically to Jen@FriendsofWentworth.org or drop a paper copy (on white 8.5"x11") at the Town Offices with your name and number on the back.

The Town is seeking volunteers to assist in the repainting of the town common bandstand. Paul Ducharme has generously offered to assist with this undertaking, but will need some help. All materials will be supplied, if interested please contact Paul at 986-2604.

Historical Society Museum
The Historical Society Museum is open every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm from the Saturday before Memorial Day to the Saturday before Labor Day.
In preparation for the upcoming 250th anniversary of Wentworth we are sprucing up the inside and outside of the museum. Stop in this summer!

Market Day Announcement
Market Day has been an ongoing event held the first Saturday in August for 39 years. This is the Historical Society's only fund raiser.
Wentworth Parks and Recreation is bringing the DUCK RACE back this year! The Fire Department will be bringing you games and food.
Join us in the town common, 9:00 - 4:00 for: live music, prizes, face painting, spinning, games, crafts, great food, and much more.

Post Office Hours Changing
The Wentworth Post Office hours are changing effective May 16.
The new hours are: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
Saturday will remain the same, 7:15 to noon.

Market Day Duck Races
The Friends of Wentworth Parks and Recreation is bringing back the Market Day Duck Races and is asking for support from local businesses or individuals to supply gift cards, products, and other merchandise to award the winners of the race.
