Notices

Book Club Selection

The current book club selection is Still Alice by Lisa Genova.

Copies are available at the library. (Note that no one has to purchase the book; copies are available at the library through inter-library loan.)

The book club meets the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m.; see the Event Calendar for details.

Post Office Hours Changing

The Wentworth Post Office hours are changing effective May 16.

The new hours are: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Saturday will remain the same, 7:15 to noon.

Park Clean Up and Assessment Day

Sunday, May 3, 2015, Riverside Park, 9:30 a.m. (weather permitting)

Bring a rake, trash bag, broom, clippers or other yard tools for a clean up session at Riverside and Hamilton Field.

Winter storm damage will be assessed to develop a thorough plan of action if needed.

Market Day Duck Races

The Friends of Wentworth Parks and Recreation is bringing back the Market Day Duck Races and is asking for support from local businesses or individuals to supply gift cards, products, and other merchandise to award the winners of the race.

Library Updates

Digital periodical downloads can now be borrowed from NH Downloadable Books in addition to the already available e-books and audiobooks. A valid library card is necessary.

Patrons can now access two genealogy databases, HeritageQuestOnline and Ancestry. Ancestry must be accessed in-library only.

If you have questions, please stop in at the library or call 764-5818.

Special Selectmen's Meeting

There will be a Selectmen’s Meeting held March 28, 2015, 3:00 pm at the Old Town Hall to discuss the Town Village Bridge and the future of the Village and Eastside Roads.

All are invited to attend.

Volunteer Needed

The Town of Wentworth is seeking a volunteer to be the district representative to the Pemi-Baker Solid Waste District.

Road Weight Limits

All town roads with the exception of Buffalo Road are closed to traffic over 6 tons, at the direction of the Road Agent and Selectmen.

Overnight Parking

It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of any street or Municipal Parking lot in the Town of Wentworth between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 6:00 AM, between November 1 and May 1 of any year.

Reminder About Snow Removal

No person shall park any vehicle on a public way or sidewalk within the Town of Wentworth in such a way as to hinder the removal of snow from the streets of Wentworth by the Town of Wentworth or the State of New Hampshire.
